BIO

Paolo Monti is an eclectic italian composer, active in the european experimental scene for fifteen years with the drone/ambient/post-rock project The Star Pillow.
The project started in December 2007 with the aim of researching expressions and relations between sound, space and human emotions. He has released many albums for some of the most important ambient and experimental labels (Time Released Sound, Boring Machines, Midira Records). He plays continuosly around Europe in long tours and in important festivals (Le Guess Who?, Donau, Moving Noises, Gaudeamus, Kukemuru). He also works as composer for Cinema (Roberto Beani, Cristina Picchi, Mauro Bartoli, Matteo Parisini), for TV (RAI), institutions (Cineteca di Bologna), contemporary art and dance performances collaborating with the visual artist Aldo Giannotti and the austrian choreographer Karin Pauer.
He's member of the deep drone project DAIMON, together with Simon Balestrazzi and Nicola Quiriconi.
He's part of the newborn dreamgaze/doom/trip-hop quartet Bosco Sacro together with Julinko and Tristan da Cunha.
